Shuffle Report – DOA

Another day, another shuffle…Yesssssssss…….. Foo Fighters – DOA

I lurve me some Foo. I have to be honest. I was not a big Foo Fighters supporter early on. When the band first hit the scene in the mid 90′s, I was still fighting the whole alt rock movement for some reason. In my mind, however, I could not deny how good the tunes were – This Is a Call in particular. By the time the album The Colour and the Shape came out in 1997, I embraced the genius that was the Foo Fighters. That whole album is still stupid good.

DOA is likely my favorite track from the Foo Fighters’ 2005 double CD offering In Your HonorThis band never fails on delivering a great rock song. DOA has that badass quality that begs you to blast the song as loud as you can take it. For me, there’s just something about he movement of the song from verse to chorus. It’s that inexplicable sound that my brain hears that just makes me think shit…this song effin’ rocks every time I hear it. It is also one of my favorite Foo Fighters songs lyrically – It’s a shame we have to disappear
No ones getting out of here, alive…
