About Dye

Posted on May 15, 2010

Hello to all! Some of you may have been asked to check out my site. Perhaps a few of you have stumbled upon it purely by accident. Whatever the case may be – Welcome! Take a look around! Leave a comment…or two.

Here is where I will ramble on ad nauseum about music – music I like, aspects of music and so on. I will also be throwing in bits of my fiction & autobiographical writing in here from time to time for a nice change of pace.

What about Dye? First of all, my name is Diana. All of my friends call my Dye or Dyester. The D-Y-E comes from my inability to commit to a single hair color back in my high school days, and it kinda stuck. For one thing, the nickname looked very cool, and another thing is I still don’t have a “normal” hair color. It’s the one part of my unconventional 80′s youth that I refuse to give up.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Admin. and am a certified paralegal. I worked in the insurance industry for 12 years, mostly as an adjuster. I know – very exciting. Currently, well, let’s just say I’m in between careers.

I am a music enthusiast, amateur fiction writer,  sometime poet and wannabe rocker making my way through life in suburban Chicago.

If there are any topics you’d like to see covered or just want to give me a shout – feel free to hit me up on Twitter or Facebook. Welcome to the Dyelirium.
